If you’ve always wanted to scuba dive, discover new adventures or simply see the wondrous world beneath the surface, this is where it starts. Let Scuba and Snorkel Center & Motor City Scuba introduce to the world underwater and teach you how to be a scuba diver. LEARNING TO SCUBA DIVE IS EASY & FUN. Learning to dive with SSC & MCS is easy. The first step in learning to dive is to sign up for our PADI Open Water Scuba Diving Lessons. SSC & MSC offers multiple training schedules that can fit into your busy schedule. The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of interactive classroom sessions and training sessions in the pool. When you successfully complete your PADI Open Water Course, you are qualified to participate in the Open Water certification or “checkout” dives. After you complete the four open water certification dives you will be a certified PADI Open Water Scuba Diver living a whole new world of adventure. Breathing underwater will transform you. Take the first step and sign up for a class.

Divers visit exciting destinations, and enjoy the company of others in comfortable surroundings. Diving is easy to learn and is a life-long, healthy activity suitable for the entire family. Some say diving has changed their lives forever, letting them see a different part of our world in ways they never imagined. Explore the other 70% of the worldThere’s a lot to do underwater – photography, seeing fish and other critters up close, exploring new places, spending quality time with friends and family, seeing historic shipwrecks, and experiencing nature as few have. All are possible as a certified scuba diver. Underwater – the other 7/10 of your world – whether in the ocean, lakes, rivers or quarries – is a fascinating place. As a diver you’ll explore a different part of the world we live in – a fun activity in a friendly, hospitable environment. Anyone in good health can learn to dive and become a certified scuba diver. Certification opens the door to activities in every part of the world – anywhere you can find water you can enjoy scuba diving!
 

Step One – Sign up for our PADI Open Water Class Call or stop in either SSC or MCS and enroll in one of our convenient course options. We offer three different versions of our PADI Open Water Class: 6 Week Class, 3 Week Class or Weekend Class.

 

Step Two – Confined Water and Classroom Sessions Learning to dive is a lot of fun and you’ll probably meet some great new friends in your class. You will meet with one of our PADI instructors in one of our comfortable classrooms and then it will be off to one of the several different local pools that we use (or our onsite pool at Motor City Scuba) – where you will get to experience life underwater.

 

Step Three – Open Water Certification Dives It’s time to dive. You will be guided by your instructors so that you enjoy the dive but at this point it is all about showing off everything that you have learned. These dives are a lot of fun and the best part is that it is just the beginning.
